The lyrics of this song express anti-christian sentiments within the context of the lost books of the bible. These texts were recovered in 1945 and are referred to as the Nag Hammadi library. One of these books is the Apocryphon of John. This text accounts for a narrative between John and Jesus after being crucified. The knowledge John gains is the true identity and origins of the Judeo-Christian god:Yaltabaoth (birthed by the aeon Sophia), whose character is malevolent and arrogant with a grotesque form.
